Call-Out Service | from £40 | no call-out charge | no fix = no fee

Some of our services can be carried out in your home or office.

The first 10 minutes are free, so you can show us the problem and we can carry out a quick analysis of your computer. This allows us to provide you with the options available for repair, in plain english, without all the technobabble jargon.
If you decide to go for an on-the-spot repair, the first hour costs just £40, then it's £15 per half-hour thereafter*.

It is often cheaper to use our Collect and Repair service where we can work on multiple machines simultaneously in our workshop, allowing us to fix them for a flat rate, no matter how long it takes.

* Some services have a fixed fee for call-outs | We charge per-hour due to the different speeds of computers - an older, slower machine can take substantially longer to fix than a new machine with the same problem.

Remote Assistance | £20 for 30 minutes

We can log onto your PC and attempt to resolve any problems remotely. If we can't identify and fix the problem within 30 minutes, we will repair your computer in our workshop.

Removal of old computer equipment | from £35

We will remove your old computer equipment for recycling, and have the hard drive completley erased and destroyed.

You might also consider keeping your old computer and using it as a file server - a central location for your media to be shared between all computers. See wireless networking for more details.

Workshop Repairs

===========================

Collect and Repair | from £40

We can come and collect your computer wherever and whenever it is convienient for you.
All workshop repairs costing more than £40 include collection and return of your equipment.
When returning your equipment, we will spend up to 15 minutes showing you that all faults have been fixed and your computer is fully functional.
You will also recieve a detailed service report.

Health Check | £35

This is the first step for all repairs. (System crashing, Blue Screens, Slowness etc...)

Our health check involves making sure that your computer has the latest updates and that your system is operating as it should be.
We will run scans and diagnostics then remove any viruses and fix any problems that are uncovered.
Your PC will be cleaned inside and out - Buildups of dust and dirt will be gently removed from the fans, heatsinks and circuit boards.
You will also recieve a detailed service report with tips on how to keep your computer updated and virus free.

Operating System Restore

This eliminates all problems and your computer will be as it was when new.

OS Restore | £45

Hard drive is wiped and Windows is reinstalled.
All updates, drivers and anti-virus software will be installed.
Your computer will be like it was when you first turned it on.

Note: as this process completely wipes your hard drive, you will have to re-install all your programs, such as iTunes, Microsoft Office etc. We can help you with this through our call out service, at a reduced rate.

OS Restore with Data Transfer and Home set-up | £60

Data is backed up.
Hard drive is wiped and Windows is reinstalled.
All updates, drivers and anti-virus software will be installed.
Other useful software installed if requested: Java / Adobe reader / Flash.
Internet explorer configured and set with search providers.
Backed up data will be restored.
Home set up: Connection to your network, internet connection restored, printers, scanners, mobile phones and cameras added.

Data Backup / Migration | from £30

Have your data copied onto another hard drive or onto DVD.
Set up automatic backup schedules.
You can supply the extra hard drive if you have one.
Price includes 3 DVD's of data. Add £4 for extra DVD's. Hard drives sold seperately.

Data Recovery | £50

If you have deleted files by accident or your hard drive doesn't seem to be working, we just might be able to recover your files, music and photos.
Price includes 4 DVD's of data. Add £4 for extra DVD's. Hard drives sold seperately.

Set up a secure wireless network
Share files, movies and music between computers
Share a printer between computers
Set up Xbox 360 to stream media to your TV from your computers

This service includes networking up to 7 devices.
For example... 1 desktop PC, 1 printer, 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones and an Xbox 360.)

Wireless Network Security | Call-Out Service rate

Many wireless networks are using a very insecure form of encryption and some do not have any security in place at all. Having your network like this leaves it open to unwelcome attacks and possible misuse. You could have important details stolen from your computers. Avoid this by having a security audit carried out by KJDCS. We can advise you of the best methods for network security using the equipment you already have, and configure your network and devices to the best of your needs.

Having difficulty getting connected to the internet? We can check your system for faults and get you connected again!

Some internet problems may be due to viruses which could take a long time to remove, in which case the fixed workshop rate will be charged.

We can show you how to connect your laptop directly to your TV step by step, with printed instructions for future reference.

If you have an Xbox 360, we can configure it to play movies and music from any of your computers, without the need to have them hooked up to the TV.
